Shine & Shape: Mosaics for a Cause

In this creative, hands-on workshop, youth will learn the art of mosaic design while either earning volunteer hours or being able to take their craft home with them all well making a meaningful contribution to the community. Participants will design and assemble mosaic tiles for outdoor spaces.

About the event
Join us for a creative and welcoming, Mosaic and Garden Stone Making Month were tweens and teens can explore the art of mosaic making in a relaxed, supportive environment. During Saturday’s sessions participants will learn the art of making mosaic tiles with an assortment of weatherproof materials to beautify and unite any outdoor space.
No prior mosaic or our experience is needed. Youth will explore pattern, color and texture while learning how public art can transform shared spaces and bring people together.
This program is facilitated by MSW interns from Adelphi University and the University at Albany, who helped foster a space where creativity, self expression and community connection can thrive.
Our goal is to provide a safe inclusive environment that celebrates that unique abilities and talents of every participant.
