Shine & Shape: Mosaics for a Cause

In this creative, hands-on workshop, youth will learn the art of mosaic design while earning volunteer hours and making a meaningful contribution to the community. Participants will design and assemble mosaic tiles for outdoor spaces, using ceramic, glass, and weather-safe materials to create colorful, durable pieces.

All mosaic tiles created during the workshop will be donated to Fly The COOP, Inc. and used for community installations or sold at local markets to support the organization’s work. Proceeds help fund youth scholarships, paid internships, and community projects in collaboration with local schools and non-profits.

No prior mosaic or art experience is needed. Youth will explore pattern, color, and texture while learning how public art can transform shared spaces and bring people together.

Youth will earn volunteer hours while:

·        Learning mosaic layout, adhesive techniques, and grout basics

·        Practicing design skills using color, shape, and pattern
